Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni (MMNBA) – Financial Assistance for Male Students
Academic Session: 2025–26
Biswanath College hereby informs all concerned students that the Government of Assam, Higher Education Department has issued guidelines for providing financial assistance to eligible male students under the Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni (MMNBA) scheme.
🔹 Eligibility
- Male students domiciled in Assam
- Enrolled as regular students in:
- UG 1st Year or
- PG 1st Year
- Studying in Government / Provincialised institutions
- Annual family income below ₹4.00 lakh
- UG married students are not eligible
- UG students availing Banikanta Kakati Merit Award (Scooter) are not eligible
- PG students availing CM’s Jibon Prerana Scheme are not eligible
🔹 Financial Assistance
- UG 1st Year: ₹1,000 per month (up to 10 months)
👉 Maximum ₹10,000 per year - PG 1st Year: ₹2,000 per month (up to 10 months)
👉 Maximum ₹20,000 per year - No payment during summer vacation or vacations exceeding one month
🔹 Mode of Application
- Student data will be verified and submitted through the SAMARTH Portal
- Income Certificate / Ration Card of parents is mandatory
- Students must maintain regular attendance and discipline
- Benefits will be withdrawn in case of misconduct or dropout
🔹 Mode of Payment
- Monthly DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) to the student’s bank account
All eligible students are advised to contact the College Office / Nodal Teacher for further instructions and timely submission of required documents.
