Institutional Undertaking
Biswanath College, affiliated to Gauhati University and recognised by the University Grants Commission under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1956, is committed to transparency, accountability and public disclosure of relevant institutional information.
The Principal and Secretary of the College has solemnly undertaken compliance with the UGC Guidelines on Public Self-Disclosure by Higher Education Institutions, 2024, as stated in the official undertaking dated 31 October 2026.
Commitments of the College
The College maintains a functional website, www.biswanathcollege.in, on which all relevant information is disclosed to stakeholders with unrestricted access, without any requirement of login or registration, and with a search facility for easy access.
In compliance with the UGC Guidelines on Public Self-Disclosure by Higher Education Institutions, 2024, the information required under the prescribed heads — About HEI, Administration, Academics, Admissions & Fee, Research, Student Life, Alumni and Information Corner — has been compiled and is being uploaded on the College website. The required committees/cells and corresponding UGC regulations are also placed under a separate link titled UGC Public Self Disclosure.
The following Committees/Cells have been constituted or re-constituted in accordance with the corresponding UGC Regulations/Guidelines, and their composition is placed on the College website.
The College shall keep the information on its website updated at all times, conduct meetings of its statutory bodies regularly, upload the minutes thereof and upload such information on the web portals as may be specified by the Commission from time to time.
The College shall adhere to the Regulations and Guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission and understands that any non-compliance may invite appropriate action by the Commission. This undertaking is given to the best of the College’s knowledge and belief, on the basis of its records. The College shall also upload the signed undertaking on its website.
