Department of Education at Biswanath College began its journey in 1967, founded by Prof. P. C. Gogoi. Since its inception, the department has continuously moved forward, playing a vital role in shaping the academic foundation of countless students. Under the leadership of Shri Ajit Kumar Dutta, the current Head of Department (HoD), the department continues to excel in educational innovation and student development. With a dedicated team of four faculty members, the department is committed to advancing the role of education in society.

**Academic Objectives**  

The Department of Education aims to make students comprehend the significance of education within the current social context. Some key goals include:
