The Sadananda Chaliha Central Library of Biswanath College offers a comprehensive collection of over twenty-five thousand volumes, providing extensive resources for both examination-oriented and research-based studies. The library’s collection is continuously growing, offering valuable resources to both students and faculty members.
In addition to books, the library offers a wide range of journals, magazines, and newspapers for diverse interests and research areas. The library also provides a photostat facility for students and teachers.
Library Rules
The following are the rules and regulations of the Sadananda Chaliha Central Library:
- Library Hours:
The library is open on all working days from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, except on Sundays and authorized holidays. - Loan Counter:
The loan counter closes 30 minutes before the library closes. - Borrowing Limit:
- General Course students: 2 books at a time
- Major Course students: 4 books at a time
- Return Policy:
Books must be returned within 30 days of the borrowing date to avoid a late fine. No new books will be issued to students who have not returned previously borrowed books. - Lost or Damaged Books:
Any book that is lost, damaged, or defaced by underlining or marking must be replaced by the borrower at their own cost.
