Nepali

The Department of Nepali at Biswanath College was established in 1991 with one sanctioned teaching position. The department started its journey with Mr. Arun Upadhyaya as the sole faculty member, who dedicatedly served the department until his retirement in 2018.

In 1995, the Governing Body allocated an additional non-sanctioned teaching post, which was later officially sanctioned in 2010, further strengthening the department’s teaching capacity.


Courses Offered

The Department of Nepali provides education at both undergraduate and higher secondary levels, focusing on:

  1. General Course in Nepali
  2. Elective Nepali course at the undergraduate level
  3. Elective Nepali at the Higher Secondary level

These courses are designed to offer students a deep understanding of Nepali language and literature, preparing them for diverse career opportunities.
