Students intending to apply for Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Aasoni (MMNMA) and Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni (MMNBA) are advised to carefully follow the application procedure through the Student SAMARTH Portal. How to Apply Online

1. Login / Register on Student SAMARTH Portal: Visit the Student SAMARTH Portal and log in using your SAMARTH Enrolment Number, Password and CAPTCHA.
2. New User Registration: If you are not registered, click REGISTER and enter your SAMARTH Enrolment Number and CAPTCHA.
3. OTP Verification: An OTP will be sent to the registered email address used during SAMARTH admission registration. Enter the OTP and submit.
4. Set Password: After OTP validation, create and confirm your new password.
5. Login: Log in again using your SAMARTH Enrolment Number, new password and CAPTCHA.
6. Open Scholarship: From the Student SAMARTH dashboard, click on SCHOLARSHIP.
7. Apply: In the Scholarship Portal, locate the MMNMA/MMNBA opportunity and click APPLY.
8. Enter Bank Details: Enter details of an Aadhaar-seeded/linked bank account, including Bank Name, Branch, IFSC, Account Holder Name and Account Number.
9. Complete the Application Form: Enter all required personal, academic, residential and other details carefully.
10. Upload Documents & Declaration: Upload the required documents, tick the declarations and click SAVE & NEXT.
11. Verify Details: Carefully check all information. Use BACK if any correction is required. If everything is correct, click SUBMIT.
12. Aadhaar Verification: The submission will proceed to Aadhaar verification. Enter the Aadhaar Number, request OTP and verify the OTP received on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
13. Successful Submission: After successful Aadhaar and OTP verification, the application will be saved and submitted successfully.
14. Submit Printed Copy: After successful online submission, students must submit the filled-up hardcopy of the MMNMA/MMNBA application form to their respective College/University authority for verification.

As indicated in the 2026 application guide, students may be ineligible in circumstances including:

• Not having domicile of Assam.
• Less than 70% attendance in the previous academic year.
• Not enrolling for the final examination of the previous academic year.
• Students covered by specified other schemes/awards mentioned in the guidelines.
• Specified categories of daughters of Ministers, MPs and MLAs.
• For Nijut Babu, students who did not avail Fee Waiver are listed as non-eligible.
• UG 3rd & 4th Year students are listed as not eligible under Nijut Babu.
• Self-financed/professional programmes are listed as not eligible.
