About the Application Process
The MMNMA/MMNBA 2026 application is to be submitted by eligible student applicants through the Assam State Higher Education Student Portal (SAMARTH).
The official step-by-step guide has been compiled by the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam and SAMARTH e-Gov.
Step 1: Login / Register on Student SAMARTH Portal
Visit the Assam State Higher Education Student Portal and enter your SAMARTH Enrolment Number, Password and CAPTCHA. Then click LOGIN.
An “Incorrect username or password” message may appear. In that case, click REGISTER under the New User section.
Enter the SAMARTH Enrolment Number and CAPTCHA, then click REGISTER to initiate registration.
An OTP will be sent to the registered email address. Enter the OTP and click SUBMIT.
After OTP validation, enter the new password, confirm the password and click RESET PASSWORD.
Step 2: Open the Scholarship Section
Use the SAMARTH Enrolment Number, newly created password and CAPTCHA to log in.
From the Student SAMARTH dashboard, open the SCHOLARSHIP section.
In the Scholarship Portal, locate the relevant MMNMA/MMNBA scholarship opportunity and click APPLY.
Step 3: Enter Aadhaar-Seeded Bank Account Details
Students should carefully enter:
If the applicant does not have PAN, the relevant option in the application form should be selected as instructed in the portal.
Step 4: Complete the MMNMA/MMNBA Application Form
Enter the remaining scholarship application details carefully according to the applicable MMNMA/MMNBA guidelines and eligibility conditions.
Students should contact their College/University if they have any doubt regarding the information to be entered.
Step 5: Upload Documents & Save
Upload the documents requested by the MMNMA/MMNBA application form.
Carefully read the declarations and tick the required declaration checkboxes.
After completing the form and uploading the required documents, click SAVE & NEXT.
Step 6: Verify All Details Before Submission
A VERIFY DETAILS window will appear. Carefully check every detail entered in the application.
Step 7: Aadhaar Verification
Clicking SUBMIT initiates Aadhaar verification through the authentication portal.
Enter the Aadhaar Number and click SEND OTP.
The OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with Aadhaar. Enter the OTP and click VERIFY & CONTINUE.
Step 8: After Successful Submission
A message indicating that the application has been saved successfully will be displayed.
A successful submission email will be sent to the student’s registered email ID.
After successful online submission, the student must submit the filled-up hardcopy of the MMNMA/MMNBA application to the respective College/University authority for verification.
Aadhaar Seeding of Bank Account Through NPCI
If Aadhaar seeding of the bank account has not been completed, the guide provides a process through the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) website using the Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE).
Visit the NPCI website and navigate to Customer → Bharat Aadhaar Seeding Enabler (BASE).
Enter Aadhaar details, select SEEDING, select the bank, choose Fresh Seeding, enter and confirm the bank account number, accept the declaration, enter CAPTCHA and click SUBMIT.
Enter the OTP received on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number and click CONFIRM.
A process completion bar and reference number will be displayed. Confirmation will be received once the seeding/linking process is completed.
